Hi, my name is Jeff, so why do people call me Jonathan?
In 1975 Jonathan Lenard Kozlowski founded the business and successfully ran it until he passed away in 1989. His family wished to sell the business to someone who would keep the name and maintain the stores good reputation. In 1989 Jeff Elsley bought the business and has run it ever since.

Jeff Elsley – Optician
“I will never, I mean never, have a second store.” Jeff entered Seneca College’s Ophthalmic Dispensing Program in 1984. He worked for 2 different independent opticians, where he picked up many of the skills he uses today. He prides himself on looking after the needs of each and every customer. His biggest reward is giving his clients eyewear that suits both their face and their personality. He spends his off hours with his wife Ellen of 25 years and their 3 children. Samit (Sam) Kang – Optician
“I can often get a person’s frame right in the first 3 picks, sometimes 2.” With over 20 years of experience, Sam still enjoys being an Optician. Sam has a passion for style and fashion, and working for an independent Optician allows her to practice her creativity. While working in a retail optical store as a student Sam enrolled in the Ophthalmic Dispensing Program at Seneca College, joining Jonathan Lenard Opticians in 2006. Her primary objective today is to not only have people look their best while wearing glasses but to feel their best. Sam lives with her husband of 20 years and 3 daughters.
